Irina
Nefyodova
 Irina Nefyodova is from Russia. When she was
eight years old her face was being destroyed by a benign
tumor. Instead of learning how to ride a bike or swim or
jump rope, Irina hid from the world.
The Hope For
Tomorrow Foundation came to Irina's aid by bringing her to
the United States and Mercy Hospital in Buffalo, New York.
In 1996 the surgery to remove the tumor was performed by
Doctorss Kulwant Bhangoo and Jeffrey Meilman.
The six
hour procedure restored her face and gave Irina back her
self esteem and a bright future. |
